Here is the second installment in my insert number part miniseries. My roommate, Ryan, and I recieved a fantastic housewarming gift last summer. A pair of oscillating fans from Kurtis’s parents. A gift comparable to the Statue of Liberty from France. I wonder if they gave us the receipt for that? If not, we should re-gift that biatch right back. That would show those French punks that we don’t need them or their gifts (but we would like to continue borrowing the same 3 colors from their flag for ours). We should at least try and trade for the Eiffel Tower. Wouldn’t it be cooler to have a large phallic symbol adorning our shores?

If not that, we at least need to change the inscription from:

The wretched refuse of your teemin shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

“your tired, your poor?” I don’t want tired or poor, do you? That’s a little pathetic. We need something stronger, maybe

Give me your purebred athletes
Your smartest Asians yearning to do computer stuff
Large sacks of money and anything of value
Don’t send us poor or homeless, we have no extra homes

I dunno, that is just an idea. But back to my story. Ryan and I received the fans as a gift, and to say thanks, we made a little video to show them how much we appreciated it. It’s a classic little montage set to the cheers tune. Note: towards the end, the fan made piddle on the kitchen floor, and so we had to potty train him. That’s for those of you that thought he might have spilled something.

This video is Kurtis, Steffen, and I’s (is that right…I’s?) presentation for our engineering project. We had to make a ping pong launcher that passed a certain line before it launched at a target. We were provided w/ an engine, wheels and axles. We decided against all of that stuff (since that required real effort) and used a giant, immobile chunk of steel for our frame. Then we had it drop a yard stick long enough to cross the line. That would trigger the ping-pong launching mouse trap. We demolished EVERYONE! We made it to the finals, which were double elimination. We beat our competitors once, and then on the final shot, we missed our mark by a very tiny amount. Enjoy the video!!!
